    José Ruíz López specializes in Mergers and Acquisitions, Antitrust and Competition, Corporate and Commercial Law and Mining Law. Mr. Ruiz has actively represented various companies in pre-merger filings with the Federal Economic Competition Commission (FECC), investigations initiated by the FECC with respect to relative (abuse of dominance) and absolute (cartels) monopolistic practices, as well as in advisory related matters. Likewise, he has represented national and multinational groups in transactions relating to acquisitions and sales of companies, including joint ventures. Mr. Ruíz represents mining groups, including subsidiaries of foreign public companies, in connection their activities in Mexico, including regulatory matters, compliance aspects, acquisitions of exploration and exploitation projects, as well as in mining due diligence processes.
